Located on the plateau of the famous Terra dei Trulli, the caves of Castellana have become one of the most famous tourist destinations in Puglia, and especially during the summer months thousands of tourists populate the small town of Castellana Grotte.
In addition to promoting summer tourism, the numerous sunny days also make the area particularly suitable for the installation of photovoltaic systems, both on industrial buildings and in residential contexts.
The one created by Solarvolt on this paved roof generates 4 kWp of renewable energy, and the installation of the support structures was carried out very quickly: the Sun Ballast ballasts do not in fact need to be fixed to the roof, and they already contain the fixing bushings.
In this way, the installation and assembly of the panels take place with great simplicity, and the overall construction times are shortened by over 70% compared to those used using traditional structures.
The system in the photo was installed using the Standard 10° system, a simple solution, made with high quality materials and suitable for all types of roofing, from the sheaths of industrial buildings to the flooring of terraces and condominium roofs.
Wind resistance is then guaranteed by integrating the Standard system with the innovative Cablowind system: thanks to this special additional weight, the distribution of loads on the roof is even more balanced, and the level of stability achieved by the system ensures maximum level of efficiency, durability and reliability.
