The installation of photovoltaic systems for the self-generation of electricity is an increasingly popular choice, especially in areas where the weather conditions are particularly favourable. This is the case of Sicily, which with its over 2,500 hours of sunshine per year allows for high levels of productivity to be achieved, making the investment even more convenient.
This 6.1 KWp system was installed by our customer MRG Power on the flat roof of an industrial building in Misterbianco, a small town in the province of Catania, and the Standard 10° V system by Sun Ballast proved to be the most suitable for the specific needs of the customer: the possibility of mounting the panels vertically has in fact made it possible to optimize the available spaces in the best possible way, guaranteeing high efficiency of the system and maximum resistance to wind stress.
A typical phenomenon of all the Mediterranean islands is in fact the presence of intense and constant winds, and one of the fundamental requirements of the systems installed in these areas is precisely the resistance to the loads deriving from wind phenomena.
For this reason, the Sun Ballast technical office – made up of over 15 technicians who are always available to offer quick, professional and free assistance – suggested integrating the Standard system with two Sun Ballast accessories: the Cablowind system and the additional U-shaped weight Indeed, the addition of these two accessories ensures unparalleled stability, increasing the overall solidity of the installation and ensuring maximum system life.
